Growing up might be confusing as a kid. Kids would start to question many things, like their physical changes, feeling more emotional, growing acne, etc. It is important to understand about themselves further as they go through puberty to help them find out the right way to face the changes that will happen.
On January 12th, 2024, Dr. Laurens and Dr. Yan O’Neil happily joins SDK Plus PENABUR Cirebon in a seminar for grade 6 under the theme ‘All About Puberty’. The two wonderful doctors gave our students many insights about their body and the changes they will face throughout puberty.
We started with the introduction about our body and which part will change during the puberty phase, such as growing facial hair for boys, menstrual cycle for girls, growing acne, and changing voice. We were also given knowledge about how our emotions might feel more complex after we go through puberty.
Besides what our students will face during puberty, our amazing speaker also told us some tips and tricks to take care of our hygiene so we can stay healthy and clean despite the changes within ourselves.
Our student enthusiastically asked few questions that they were curious about themselves. At the end of the sessions, they get to write a reflection on things they have learned today. It was a wonderful day to share with Dr. Yan O’Neil and Dr. Laurens, who had helped us to love ourselves more by knowing it further.
