Welcome to SDK Plus PENABUR Cirebon, Grade 1 and welcome back to school Grade 2-6!

After a very long holiday, students finally welcomed the new academic year. We start the 2024/2025 academic year with joy and gratitude. The teachers also welcomed the students with smiles.MPLS began  with praise and worship, listened to God’s Word, served by Ms. Vini with the theme “New Journey With God”, and also an introduction to the vision and mission and the school environment, as well as literacy about independence.

Apart from that, Grade 1 until Grade 6 also played roles. They played roles from Bible stories, for example Joseph, Mary and Martha, and others. The students had so much fun in playing roles. After that, they started decorating their classes with the theme of BPK PENABUR’s 74th Anniversary.

The next day, we have welcoming activities for the students. As usual, we start the day by praising and worshiping God and listening to His Word. God’s word is served by Kak Pdt. Yemima with the theme "Sabar Ketika DiTolak.” After praise and worship, all students went to the field for morning exercise led by Mr. Extri, Ms. Christina, and Ms. Rasel. 

The students enjoyed snacks and hot tea provided by the school before continuing with the activity they had been waiting for, namely games. The name of the game is "Best Buddies", where in this game the top class (Big Buddies) paired up with the small class (Small Buddies) and had to look after them. There were 8 posts in this game that they had to complete, such as putting paper into a binder safely, tidying stationery into a bag, tidying up crayons, tables, chairs, wearing their own uniform, folding clothes, washing dishes, sweeping and sorting rubbish, and also wear your own socks and shoes.

In this game, children learned to be independent and responsible for themselves. They were very happy and thank you Upper Class for looking after and teaching the lower class.
